And the Award Goes to…Piccirilli Dorsey

We are proud to announce that Piccirilli Dorsey has won Silver in The 2014 W3 Awards for the website we created for the Ritz-Carlton Residences Inner Harbor Baltimore. The news came in from New York today, and everyone on the Piccirilli Dorsey team is beaming to have the quality of our work acknowledged with such a prestigious honor.

Receiving over 4,000 entries this year, The W3 Awards honors outstanding Websites, Web Marketing, Web Video, Mobile Sites/Apps & Social content created by some of the best interactive agencies, designers and creators worldwide. We’re happy to be counted among them.

The W3 Awards is sanctioned and judged by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts, an invitation-only body consisting of top-tier professionals from a "Who's Who" of acclaimed media, advertising, and marketing firms. “Our winners continue to find innovative and forward-thinking ways to push the boundaries of creativity in web design,” said Linda Day, the director of the Academy. “On behalf of the entire Academy, a huge congratulations to this year’s winners for their dedication and commitment to excellence on the web— job well done!”

In creating the award-winning custom website for The Ritz-Carlton Residences Inner Harbor Baltimore, Piccirilli Dorsey followed its core philosophy on web design: The most important factor in the success of any website is the user experience. With that in mind, our goal was to give users an immersive virtual experience of the legendary luxury lifestyle associated with The Ritz-Carlton brand. We built a beautiful, functional interface using high-style photography, interactive content, resident testimonials, and elegant video tours of individual residences, amenities and cultural offerings found in the surrounding neighborhoods to engage website users. We also designed the website to be responsive on all platforms, ensuring that the Ritz-Carlton luxury lifestyle and brand experience would be consistent across all devices and screen resolutions.

The W³ competition is accessible to the biggest agencies, the smallest firms, and everyone in between, which means that our work was up against that of our peers, as well as that of Fortune 500 companies and international agencies. We congratulate all of the winners for their outstanding work, and we feel proud to be in such good company.
